The Miller-Moorhuhn ( Porzana nigra ) is an extinct species of railing from the genus of the moorhens .

It is only known through two drawings from the 18th century. The first drawing was made by Georg Forster in 1773 and is entitled "Rallus minutus, Màho, Taheitee". In 1784 John Frederick Miller made a copy of Forster's drawing and published it with some changes and comments in his work Cimelia Physica . Johann Reinhold Forster indicated Tahiti as the distribution area. John Latham named Tanna as a distribution area of a subspecies. While Averil Margaret Lysaght (1956) and Murray D. Bruce et al. (1983) considered Porzana nigra identical to Porzana tabuensis , Storrs Lovejoy Olson and David William Steadman believe that the Miller moorhen was a flightless, endemic species of Tahiti. This assessment is supported by subfossil bone finds of an endemic marsh grouse species ( Porzana rua ) from Mangaia .
