history

At the end of the 12th century, a Hiltrudis von Zell donated an estate in Mindelzell to the Ursberg monastery . After confirmation of ownership around 1209, the church in Mindelzell also came into the possession of the Ursberg Monastery. The Ursberg Monastery in Mindelzell owned many properties until 1384. In 1471 the place was sold by the monastery and bought back in 1536, where it remained until secularization in 1803.

On July 1, 1972, the previously independent municipality of Mindelzell was incorporated into Ursberg as part of the municipal reform.
