The Mini Coupé is a sporty, two-seater small car from the British car manufacturer Mini . It was launched in October 2011 and sold in Germany until 2015.
History and technology
With the Coupé, Mini has produced a vehicle with a striking design. The look is mainly determined by the vehicle roof, which is said to have been inspired by a baseball cap that was put on upside down. The windshield was slanted compared to the mini station wagon and the rear window is flatter, both measures that, however, impair the view. Due to the low center of gravity and the low overall height (almost two centimeters less than the station wagon), the automobile appears sportier than other mini models.
Special features are that at 80 km / h a spoiler at the rear automatically extends; alternatively, it can be extended by pressing a button. The vehicle is 3.73 meters long, the trunk of the coupé has a capacity of 280 liters. Mini offered the engine variants Cooper, Cooper S, Cooper SD and John Cooper Works (JCW), each with a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission (not on the JCW).
In 2015, the coupé was discontinued without replacement.
