The Mini Pigs were a band that appeared in the television series Lindenstrasse .
The members of the Mini Pigs were “Benny Beimer” ( Christian Kahrmann ) ( drums ), “Konni” (Konrad Haas), “Dommi” (Dominic Diaz) and “Zak” (Jens Bernewitz). The last three were professional musicians in the band Steinwolke . Christian Kahrmann learned to play drums for this part of his role.
The Mini Pigs had their first appearance in a Lindenstrasse New Year's Eve episode in the “Akropolis” restaurant (episode 109).
The Mini Pigs made it into the charts with their song Die Kuh and on February 5, 1988 reached number 20 in the German single charts . They sold 100,000 singles and were also featured in the Spielbude ( ARD ), the ARD music magazine Formula One and in the ZDF hit parade .
