Ministère des Sports et des Loisirs

The Ministère des Sports et des Loisirs is the ministry for sport and leisure in the West African state of Burkina Faso .

It was created in 1957 when the French colony of Upper Volta got its own government. It has had its current name since 2002, previously it was called, among other things, Ministère de la Jeunesse et des Sports .

Tasks include the control of sports associations, the construction and maintenance of national sports facilities and the training of those responsible.
