The Ministry of Forestry and Environment ( Ministry of Forestry, Environment, Climate Change and Natural Resources, MoFEN ), or shortly Ministry of Forestry and Environment Ministry is a ministry of the government of the West African country Gambia .
Location and description
The seat of the ministry is in the capital Banjul on Marina Parade.
The Ministry of Forestry and the Ministry of the Environment is responsible for forestry and issues relating to environmental protection , climate change and natural resources . The Ministry is also responsible for the country's national parks through the Department of Parks and Wildlife Management (GDPWM).

history
It is responsible for forestry and is the Ministry of the Environment; it was created in 1976 as the “ Department of Forestry & the Environment ” (DOFE). Older origins of the forestry authority go back to 1939.
Until mid-2009 the name was Gambia Department of State for Forestry & the Environment (DoSFE) ,
