Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism ( Hangeul : 문화 체육 관광부) is a supreme administrative authority in South Korea . It has been based in Sejong since 2012 and employed around 2200 people in 2012. The ministry is headed by Yoo Jin-ryong , who is part of the government of South Korea as a minister .
history
The agency was established on February 29, 2008. It has over 50 departments. In October 2011, the ministry established a pop culture industry division.
Competencies
The ministry's remit is to promote art and music, such as the Korean Wave . The Ministry is the employer of the Korean Film Archive .
