Minitz is the web news for children in the SWR children's network . Previously, Minitz was a trimedial project for Südwestrundfunk (SWR) that was produced for television, radio and the Internet from March 2009 to December 2012. Like the PBS children's news program NewsFlash5 , Minitz was also presented by Avatars until 2012. Today the info clips are without avatars.

The Minitz News informs children between the ages of eight and twelve about what's going on in the world. In clips of one minute there are reports on politics, school, science, animals, the environment, sports and stars.
