Minka Dott

Minka Dott (born September 2, 1945 in Amsterdam ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). She was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1995 to 2006 and again from 2009 to 2011 .

biography

After graduating from high school in 1964, Dott trained as a nurse. In 1971 she graduated from the Charité Medical School in Berlin as a state-recognized physiotherapist. After that she was employed in the hospital until 1973. After that she was a practical teacher and then a lecturer at the Charité Medical School until 1982. From 1973 to 1978 she took a distance learning course at the Karl Marx University in Leipzig, which she completed in 1978 as a certified teacher. From 1983 she worked at the Humboldt University in Berlin in the field of ethics. From 1987 to 1989 Dott worked at the Köpenick Hospital. From 1992 to 2005 she was employed as a physiotherapist and from 2006 to 2009 she was a consultant for the left-wing parliamentary group in the Berlin House of Representatives.

Dott has been a member of the SED since 1966 and then became a member of the PDS and the Left. From 1997 to 1999 she was a member of the state board of the PDS Berlin. From 1995 to 2006 she was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives. After she was not re-elected in 2006, she left, but moved in again on March 3, 2009 as a successor.
