Minkyu Lee

Minkyu Lee (* 1985/1986 in Korea ) is a Korean animator who works in the United States.

Life

Lee graduated from CalArts School of Film / Video and graduated with a bachelor's degree in 2009 and a master's degree in film directing in 2011. During his studies at Disney he worked as an animator in training on the film Kiss the Frog . His first short animation film Adam and Dog was made as an independent film until 2012. Lee directed, wrote the screenplay and sketched the film with several friends who work as animators at Pixar and Dreamworks , among others . Adam and Dog received the Annie Award for Best Animated Short Film in early 2012 . In 2013 , Adam and Dog was nominated for an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film.

Lee works as a visual development artist at Disney Animation. He also teaches animation at CalArts.
