Minmose

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Minmose was a high ancient Egyptian official who held the post of head of the double barn under the reigning Queen Hatshepsut .

Minmose is shown in the mortuary temple of Hatshepsut in Deir el-Bahari in connection with the boat transport of the two obelisks for Thutmose II , which were erected at the beginning of the reign of Hatshepsut. Minmose is certainly still known from objects from grave KV60 of the nurse Sitre-In in the Valley of the Kings . Minmose may also appear on two ostraka (but without a title), which date to the 10th year of Hatshepsut's reign and which could attest to his participation in the construction of the queen's mortuary temple . He may have been buried in a simple shaft grave next to the queen's mortuary temple. In shaft MMA 59, there were remains of a coffin belonging to a minmose called Denergi .
