Mino Argento

Mino Argento (born January 5, 1927 in Italy ) is an Italian-American artist whose works consist of abstract painting on canvas and paper.

Life

Argento moved to New York to pursue a career in the arts. He left Italy as he was captured by the figurative art movement that was widespread at the time. His works include "La Tigre" from 1968, "New York" from 1973, and "Inquietudine Geometria" from 1987. In his early years he worked as an architect and later took up painting. His career gained traction with exhibitions such as the Astrolobio Gallery in Rome, hosted by Marcello Venturoli . Argento was represented at various times by gallery owners such as Nigel Greenwood and Betty Parsons . It has been shown together with artists such as Frank Stella . His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries in New York and Los Angeles.
