Minuscule 63 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), A 118 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 237 sheets of parchment (31.8 × 24 cm). Using paleography , the manuscript was dated to the 10th century. The handwriting is complete.

description

The code contains the text of the four gospels . It was written in one column with 18-24 lines each. It contains prolegomena, lists of κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, ammonian sections (Mt 355; Mk 234; Lk 342; Jo 241), Eusebian canons , signatures and images.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . Aland placed it in Category V a.

The manuscript is missing in John 21:25. The pericope John 7,53-8,11 is missing.

The manuscript once belonged to James Ussher (like Codex 61 ).

The Code is currently held at Trinity College (Ms. 30, fol. 1–237) in Dublin .
