Minuscule 80 (numbered after Gregory-Aland ), ε 281 ( from Soden ) is a Greek minuscule manuscript of the New Testament on 309 sheets of parchment (23.3 × 16.2 cm). The manuscript was dated to the 12th century using paleography . The handwriting is complete.

description

The manuscript contains the text of the four Gospels . It was written in one column with 23 lines each. It contains prolegomena, lists of the κεφαλαια, κεφαλαια, τιτλοι, and signatures. In the 15th century the Latin κεφαλαια were added.

The Greek text of the Codex represents the Byzantine text type . Aland placed it in Category V a.

In the template, the birth list Luke 3: 23-38 must have been written in three columns and 23 lines, in the order of the columns and not the lines.

It's close to minuscule 140 .

history

The manuscript belonged to Johannes Georg Graeve and was collated by Bynaeus in 1691. Then it belonged to Johannes van der Hagen.

The code is currently in the Bibliothèque nationale de France (Smith-Lasouëf 5) in Paris .
