Mirko Stojanović (born June 11, 1939 in Zagreb ) is a former Yugoslav soccer goalkeeper . The four-time Yugoslav national player took part in the 1962 World Cup as an unused third goalkeeper .
Career
From 1958 to 1961 he played for Dinamo Zagreb (Yugoslav Cup winner 1959/60) and 1962 to 1966 for FK Roter Stern Belgrade (champion and cup winner 1963/64) before moving to the newly emerging professional football in the USA. From 1967 he played for the Oakland Clippers , with whom he immediately became the first and only champion of the National Professional Soccer League (NPSL) and goalkeeper of the All-Star team. After the end of the Clippers, he moved to Dallas Tornado in 1971 , with whom he was selected in his only season NASL champion and (for the second time after 1968) as a goalkeeper in the 1st All-Star team. After the season he returned to Yugoslavia as a goalkeeper for NK Olimpija Ljubljana before moving to the US for good. He played a final season in the NASL in 1974 for the San José Earthquakes .
