Lists on the subject

The Misagh-3 is an Iranian short -range surface-to-air guided missile system designed as a Man Portable Air Defense System (MANPADS) to combat helicopters and combat aircraft at low altitudes.

technology

The Misagh-3 system is an Iranian replica of the Chinese QW-1M or QW-18 MANPAD, which in turn is a replica of the Russian 9K310 Igla-1 . On February 7, 2017, the Iranian Ministry of Defense presented the anti-aircraft weapon to the public for the first time. It represents a modernized version of the Misagh-2 , in which the launch tube is almost identical to the previous version , but the rocket has been modified. The most prominent difference is the guidance of the missile, which in the Misagh-3 system is done by means of a laser beam .
