Miss Lebanon
Miss Lebanon ( Arabic انتخابات ملكة جمال لبنان) has been a beauty pageant for unmarried women in Lebanon since 1960. Miss Lebanon is likely to be the only national beauty pageant to award prizes worth over one million US dollars. It is televised annually by the Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation (LBC) in a reality TV show: The candidates live together for six weeks.
Miss Lebanon winners take part in the elections for Miss World , Miss Universe , Miss International and Miss Europe .
Before the current competition was founded, a few candidates from Lebanon took part in the Miss Universe : Laila Zoghbi in 1930, Samia Baroudi in 1935 (as Miss Beyrouth / Miss Syrie ) and Hanya Beydoun in 1955. How they qualified is not known.
