action

Discharged from the army, Blueberry was playing poker in Tombstone in 1881 when he was shot by a stranger. While the singer Doree Malone is caring for him, several stagecoaches are ambushed by Geronimo . When the journalist Campbell visits him at the sickbed to find out more about his life, he tells him about his first meeting with Geronimo in 1865, when he was stationed at Fort Mescalero after the war. After the kidnapping of Doree Malone, Blueberry goes in search of her himself, despite his injury, becomes involved in the shooting at OK Corall , and finally finds the real culprit in the whole robbery.

background

After the death of Jean-Michel Charlier , Jean Giraud himself embarked on a new adventure with the aged Lieutenant Blueberry as a civilian. The nested story arc spanned five albums. The meeting between Blueberry and Geronimo described in flashbacks was summarized in Apaches as a separate story. Dargaud began to release albums in 1995. In addition, an episode was pre-released in BoDoï in 1999 . In the German-speaking area, Ehapa published the series in their regular album series by Lieutenant Blueberry and published the complete edition in the Blueberry Chronicles .
