With Freddy through the Bible is a ten-part, Christian radio play series for children, by Olaf Franke and Tim Thomas .

The series was published from 1999 to 2001 by Verlag Schulte & Gerth on compact cassette and compact disc . The series is based on the radio play series Freddy the Donkey . In With Freddy through the Bible , Freddy the donkey and Eugen Owl tell each other different stories from the Bible. Supported by music and dialogues of the biblical characters, one should be able to put oneself in the shoes of that time in order to better understand the stories.

episode description
Bad luck for Moses Freddy and Eugen tell the story of Moses who was abandoned as a baby in a raffia basket on the Nile ( ExEU ).
Bath for the general The second episode reports on the healing of the Syrian military leader Naemann ( 2 KingsEU ).
A smile for Isaac This episode tells how Isaac found his wife Rebekah ( Gen 24  EU ).
Breakfast for Peter In the fourth radio play, Henning the rooster appears, who is already known from Freddy the donkey. So Freddy and Eugen are looking for a Bible story in which a rooster appears. And so they tell the story of Peter, who three times denied knowing Jesus . You can read the experiences in the four Gospels of the New Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
A flourish for Joshua A flourish for Joshua reports the entry of the Israelites into Jericho and into the promised land.
Lucky for aaron In the sixth episode, Freddy and Eugene tell of the ten judgments, the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and the hike through the Sinai desert (Exodus).
A hammer for Markus The seventh episode is supposed to tell how people at that time reported about the events and the resurrection of Jesus. Freddy and Eugen tell how the Gospel of Mark could have originated. Parts of the Gospel of Mark, the Acts of the Apostles and letters from Paul tell of how Paul , Barnabas (and Mark ) went on trips to tell people about Jesus.
A cruise for Jonah This episode tells the story of the Old Testament prophet Jonah , who was commissioned by God to travel to Nineveh to call the people there to repent.
Lenses for Jakob The penultimate episode reports on Jacob , who had ripped off both his twin brother Esau and his father Isaac and finally had to flee to relatives. There he is outwitted by his uncle Laban when he actually wants to marry his younger daughter Rahel and instead has his older daughter Lea . The story ends with Jacob fighting with God, being blessed by him and being reconciled with his brother Esau ( Gen 27-33  EU ).
Visit for Maria The last episode tells of the birth of Christ, so how Jesus Christ came into the world. It is based on the Christmas story in the Gospels of Matthew and Luke.
