Middle fairway sign
The safe water mark ( English safe water mark , also middle-driving watermark or safe water mark ) is a navaid that the buoying of waterways used. It denotes the middle of the fairway. In addition, in the area of validity of the German Maritime Navigation Regulations (SeeSchStrO) , it refers to the seaward start of a fairway as a control buoy within the meaning of the SeeSchStrO .
Exterior
A middle fairway sign can be designed as a bullet , light or spar barrel or as a pole. It is red and white striped vertically and can have a red ball as a top sign . The barrel can be fired . The identifier is common mode, interruption or flashing light lighting in white color.
