Mittelbruch is an island in the Havel River in the city of Brandenburg . The island is formed in the north by the main arm of the Havel, in the southeast by a Havel arm belonging to the Brandenburg city canal and in the west by the old branch Krakauer Havel Ost. It is located in the Middle Havel nature reserve and is swampy . It is located immediately east of the cathedral island . It is connected to other islands and the Kraków suburbs via a heaped dam . A cottage settlement has been built on the island .
