The Mittelmühle is a residential area in the city of Ettenheim , Baden-Württemberg .

location

The Mittelmühle is located about one kilometer southeast of the historic town center of Ettenheim at an altitude of 180  m above sea level. NN in the valley of the Ettenbach .

history

The middle mill was first mentioned in writing in 1721. It owes its name to the central location between the Sägmühle and the Fuchsmühle . In 1880 the tanner Hermann Henninger acquired the former grain mill and expanded it with a saw frame in the following years until 1886. His son Landolin Henninger expanded the building that still exists today. Milling was stopped in 1964. Today there is a car workshop in the former Mühlhaus der Mittelmühle, which is still owned by the Henninger family.
