Mlungisi Johnson
Mlungisi Johnson (born February 5, 1964 ; nickname Lulu ) is a South African politician. He was President of the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) from 1994 to 1996 and is currently a member of the National Assembly .
Johnson studied at the Witwatersrand University , 1981/82 he was regional secretary of the Young Christian Workers in the Eastern Cape , before he was president of the Congress of South African Students (COSAS) from 1983 to 1985 . From 1991 to 1994 he was Vice President of ANCYL, in 1994 he was elected President; he remained in office until 1996 and was also a member of the national executive committee of the African National Congress . In 2004, Johnson won a seat in the National Assembly and is currently chairman of the Agriculture , Forestry and Fisheries Committee. He is trustee of the Bokamoso Barona Investment Trust , which is supported by the three South African student associations.
