Moba (also: Moab , Moare , Moa , Ben ) is the language of the Moba people of the same name .
These live mainly in Togo and Burkina Faso . Moba is one of the Gur languages .
The information on the number of speakers is estimated at around 191,100 (1991) people. Around 189,400 (1991) speakers live in Togo and around 1,800 (1991) in Burkina Faso.
In Togo, the speakers of the Moba live near the towns of Dapaong and Bombouaka. In Burkina Faso they mainly live in the province of Koulpélogo in the department of Ouargaye .
There is a close linguistic relationship to the Bimoba language in Ghana, but it is only understood to a very limited extent.
