Fashion & Price
The Fashion & Price Shipping GmbH was an international, low-priced textile shipper based in Brombach , a district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg. The company was founded in 1987 and has since been part of the KarstadtQuelle Group (later Arcandor within Primondo (formerly Quelle Neckermann Spezialversand GmbH )). After the closure of the large mail order company Schöpflin , Mode & Preis took over its business premises and some of the employees. In 2002 Joachim Karcher and Holger Kopp were managing directors of the company.
The product range extended from fashion and accessories to home textiles and kitchen utensils. The shipping volume was over 5 million postal parcels. The products were sold in Germany as well as Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 2005, 119 employees achieved an annual turnover of 149 million euros, in 2007 it was 100 million euros.
In the first quarter of 2008, Primondo sold the company to the Munich investment company Aurelius . From April 2008 the company was restructured and realigned. The number of employees was reduced and the company now concentrated more on the German market. Slovenia was given up as a sales market at the end of October 2008. The company recently employed around 80 people in Germany.
In 2010 business operations were discontinued and the company merged with Fashion Retail Holding GmbH . In 2014 insolvency proceedings were opened for this company.
