Primondo was the parent company of all mail order brands of the now insolvent Arcandor AG (formerly KarstadtQuelle AG ) since March 1st, 2007.

Primondo saw itself as a holding company that does not appear as a brand for end customers. Rather, Primondo saw itself as a house of brands from universal and specialty mail order. Well-known examples are Quelle , Hess Natur , Bogner Homeshopping or Baby Walz . The teleshopping channel HSE24 has also been part of the Primondo Group since June 2007 . Around 20,000 employees worked for Primondo in 28 countries.

Primondo's global competitors included companies such as Amazon.com , the Otto Group and Redcats ( PPR ).

history

On June 9, 2009, Primondo GmbH applied for insolvency proceedings to be opened at the local court in Essen.
