Hans-Gerd Hermann Jauch (born March 10, 1953 in Bad Honnef ) is a German business lawyer , crisis manager and insolvency administrator . Jauch is a founding partner of GÖRG Attorneys at Law .

family

Jauch comes from the Hanseatic family Jauch . He is the son of the businessman Robert Jauch (1913-2000), formerly an artillery officer in the 16th Panzer Artillery Regiment of the 16th Panzer Division and in 1950 one of 5,000 who returned home in the Battle of Stalingrad . His grandfather was the officer Hans Jauch . His brother is the Franciscan Robert Jauch OFM, his cousin the television presenter Günther Jauch . Jauch is married and has six children.

Life

education

Jauch graduated from the State Humanist Quirinus Gymnasium in Neuss in 1971 . At the end of 1975 he began to study philosophy and law at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Bonn , joined the K.St.V. Arminia Bonn and was active in university politics. Jauch, who initially aspired to become a doctor and passed a state examination in nursing in 1974 , initially worked in psychiatry . In 1990 he became a lawyer.

Professional activity

In 1991 Jauch started as a lawyer at Schlütter, Lüer & Görg in Cologne and became a partner of Lüer & Görg in 1992. In 1996 Jauch was a co-founder of GÖRG Rechtsanwälte. Jauch has been handling its own insolvency proceedings since 1995. His first case was known in the specialist press as the "coal cavalry case". He was managing director in the self-administered insolvency proceedings Babcock Borsig and Agfaphoto . Also as managing director, he has been liquidating numerous non-performing closed real estate funds with real estate assets of EUR 2 billion since 2010 . In 2011 he became the insolvency administrator of Arcandor , Primondo and Quelle , the largest German insolvency proceedings of the post-war period. Jauch has been working for the firm he founded "Jauch Dahl Linnenbrink Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH" since 2019.
