The Wiehe model railway is a model railway system in the small town of Roßleben-Wiehe in northern Thuringia . The hall area is around 12,000 m², the plant area is around 3,000 m². The layout, which opened in November 1997, is one of the largest model railroad layouts in the world. It had around 200,000 visitors annually in the mid-2000s.

The facility comprises six exhibition halls with these topics:

  • H0 system "Thuringia"
  • IIm garden railway "Harz"
  • TT system "Würzburg - Hamburg"
  • H0 layout "Orient Express" London-Istanbul
  • H0 layout "Trans-Siberian Railway"
  • Terracotta Army
  • World travel money trip
  • IIm garden railway system "USA - East to West"
  • Easter island

There is also an indoor playground , a park railway and a restaurant outside .
