Maria Berica Dalla Vecchia

Maria Berica Dalla Vecchia (born January 1952 in Vicenza ) is an Italian dancer, choreographer and ballet teacher.

Dalla Vecchia studied modern literature at the University of Padua . She began her ballet training at the age of seven at the school of Vanna Busolini , who was prima ballerina at La Scala in Milan . She then attended the Académie de Danse Classique Princesse Grace in Monte-Carlo under the direction of Marika Besobrasova and received her diploma as a ballet teacher in 1978. Since 1980 she has been teaching at the Centro Danza Oggi, which she founded .

She was secretary of the Association Internationale Professeurs de Danse Classique Marika Besobrasova, founded in 1987, and is a founding member, board member and treasurer of the L'Associazione Internazionale Danza Classica "Marika Besobrasova" in Florence. Her work as a choreographer includes Amadeus (Teatro Comunale di Thiene, 2004), Il Piccolo Principe (Teatro Comunale di Lonigo, 2006), Palladio, inventore di grandi Sogni (Teatro Comunale di Vicenza, 2008), La Bambola e il Mago (2010 ) and Gaïté Viennoise (2012).
