The Modenapark (pronunciation: [ mɔˈdeːna- ]) is an approximately 8,000 m² park in the 3rd district of Vienna, Landstrasse .

The park was created as an ornamental garden around 1700. It became the property of Stockhammer in 1710 and became the property of Baron von Harrucker in the 18th century . Around 1800 the complex came into the possession of the Archduchess Beatrix d'Este of Modena (1750–1829), who owned a palace (demolished in 1916) with a large park here.

From the rest of the garden, the space was created in 1926, which extended to Strohgasse before the Richard-Strauss-Hof was built (a municipal housing estate from 1953). The buildings around the Modenapark (especially on the east side) are one of the few examples of an ensemble of non-communal residential buildings from the interwar period ( Modenapark district ).

At its center is the sculpture group “Boy with Panthers” (so-called Scherzo group ) created by Josef Müllner in 1915 , which was moved here in 1948 from its original location in Arenberg Park .
