Moderation card

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A moderation card is in the early 1990s created years in the United States Reminder for presenters . On it are elaborated bullet points for the recordings of television programs , for example the sequence of performances, topics, breaks, camera positions, etc.

It is established worldwide and consists of a cardboard box approximately in paper format DIN A5. It contains both content and organizational information on a television program. The logo of the TV program is printed on the back to convey a corporate identity . They are mostly used in talk shows and are always held in the hand so that the moderator can read them. Very often more than one card is required and used for a shipment.

A teleprompter would fulfill the same function, but it is technically too complex because the moderators are constantly at different places on the stage.
