Moen , also known as Weno , is the largest island in Chuuk , a part of the Federated States of Micronesia . It is located in the east of the lagoon of the Chuuk Atoll ( Chuuk Islands ) and belongs to the group of Nomoneas Islands .

Moen is triangular in shape, lush and hilly throughout. The highest point on the island is Mount Teroken (364 m) in the southwest.

Almost all coastal regions of Moen are populated. In the northwest of the island is the largest town Weno , capital of the state of Chuuk, at the southwest tip is the town of Neiwe , where the Inter-Continental Hotel is located. In between on the west coast is the place Mwan , the seat of the municipality ( municipality ) Moen.

Chuuk International Airport is located just off the northwest coast .
