Mohaka Viaduct

The Mohaka Viaduct is the tallest railway bridge in New Zealand .

The 1936 completed and a year later inaugurated steel truss bridge located over the railway line Palmerston North - Gisborne on the North Island of New Zealand between the stations Putorino and Raupunga . The route crosses the Mohaka River with the bridge . It has a height of 95 meters and is 276.8 meters long. Its original appearance is impaired by a windbreak cladding that was retrofitted parallel to the roadway.
