Mohammad Mohsen Emami

Mohammad Mohsen Emami ( listen ? / I PersianAudio file / audio sample محمد محسن امامی, [ mohæmmæd mohsɛn ɛ ɛmɑmi ]) was a well-known calligrapher of Thuluth script in the Safavid era. He was a son of Mohammad Reza Emamis and the father of Ali Naghi Emami , who were also well-known calligraphers of the Thuluth script.

Many inscriptions by Mohammad Mohsen Emami are left on Isfahan's historical buildings . Although Emami was also very good at the Nastaliq and Nashi scripts, he was an expert in the Thuluth script. His leftover inscriptions are mostly in the Thuluth script. He lived in the time of Safi II and Sultan Hosein .
