Mohammed Moussaoui

Mohammed Moussaoui (born April 1, 1964 in Figuig , Morocco ) is a lecturer at the University of Avignon , Vice-President of the Rassemblement des musulmans de France ("Assembly of Muslims in France") and since June 22, 2008 President of the Conseil français du culte musulman ( "French Council of Muslim Worship").

Moussaoui studied in Oujda . After obtaining a bachelor's degree in mathematics, he went to the University of Mohammed the First , where he received a diploma in mathematics and physics in 1984.

Moussaoui is a member of the government organization Commission nationale consultative des droits de l'homme ("National advisory commissions for human rights").

In the course of the attack on the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo , which previously caricatured the prophet Mohammed , he condemned the attack sharply, but accused the paper of " riding the wave of Islamophobia ".
