Pig transmitter

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A pig transmitter is a small transmitter used to determine the position of non-metallic pipes . It is inserted into the pipe and continuously sends out a signal . This signal can then be located by an appropriate receiver, whereby the position of the pipe can be determined.

Alternatively, this also means a transmitter that is placed outside the line, which a pig wandering in the line can nevertheless recognize and register in order to be able to determine its position in this way.
