general description

The Molodjoschnaja metro station is located in the Kunzewo district in the western administrative district of Moscow .

It was opened on July 5, 1965 as what was then the western terminus of the Filjovskaya line ("light blue line"). Molodjoschnaja remained the terminus until December 31, 1989, when the Filjowskaja-Linie was extended by one station to Krylatskoje. With the expansion of the “dark blue” Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line in a north-westerly direction from Park Pobedy to Strogino, including the Kunzewskaya - Krylatskoje section of the Filjowskaya line on January 7, 2008, the Molodjoschnaja underground station was transferred to the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line , while the Filjovskaya line has since ended in Kunzewskaya.

architecture

The architect of the entrance areas and the platform hall of the underground station was Robert Pogrebnoi.
