Molodzov alphabet

The Molodzow alphabet ( Komi Молодцов анбур ) is an alphabet that was used in the 1920s for the Komi language , named after the Komi linguist Vasily Aleksandrovich Molodzow ( Molodzow Sandrö Vaśö ).

It is based on a modified Cyrillic alphabet to which a few additional characters have been added. In 1931 it was replaced by the Latin alphabet, which in turn was replaced by the Cyrillic alphabet.

Letters

The alphabet consists of 33 letters, eight of which (marked with an asterisk in the table) are only used in this alphabet.
