Susanne Röckel
Susanne Röckel (born June 14, 1953 in Darmstadt ) is a German writer and literary translator who also publishes under the pseudonym Anne Spielmann .
Life
Susanne Röckel studied German and Romance languages at the Free University of Berlin . After long stays abroad, she worked from 1978 to 1985 as an employee of the magazine Filmkritik and freelance editor . In 1990 she took part in the Ingeborg Bachmann Competition in Klagenfurt . From 1997 to 1998 Röckel stayed in China and worked as a German teacher at a university in Shanghai . Today she lives in Munich .
Susanne Röckel is the author of novels and short stories . She also translates from English and French .
