The Molson Canadian Amphitheater is an amphitheater in Toronto , Canada and is part of the Ontario Place theme park .
History and use
The open-air arena was built on the site of the former "Ontario Place Forum". In 1994 and 1995 the new structure was completed by May 17, 1995. It was designed by Michael Moxam. The amphitheater was opened on May 18, 1995. The arena has a capacity of 17,500 spectators and is mainly used for concerts. Internationally known artists such as Eric Clapton , Depeche Mode and Kanye West have performed in the theater .
