The Monbagsee , formerly also Monheimer Baggersee Nord-Ost , is a body of water in a former gravel and sand pit in the area of ​​the city of Monheim am Rhein . It is limited to the north by Opladener Strasse. Funding was discontinued in 1998. The Demag crane from 1928 is now an industrial monument . The lake is a nature reserve . It is also used for water sports.
