Monica Ursina Jäger (born May 6, 1974 in Thalwil ) is a Swiss artist .

Jäger studied at Goldsmith College in London until 2008 . In 2007 she received the Swiss Art Award and in 2008 she had a solo exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Thun .

Monica Ursina Jäger works primarily with large-format ink drawings . Her slightly surreal pictures show abstract vedute full of secrets; futuristic landscapes that are neither 'natural' nor 'artificial'. Your drawings are complemented by sculptures and engraved picture tubes. In her works, the artist is based on today's conditions and events in our natural and built environment.
