Monika Jungbauer goose

Monika Jungbauer-Gans (* 1963 ) is a German sociologist and has held the professorship for empirical university and science research at the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover since September 2015, as well as the scientific director of the German Center for University and Science Research .

Life

From 1982 she studied sociology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, where she passed her diploma examination in 1988. From 1989 to 1995 she worked there as a research assistant at Rolf Ziegler's chair . In 1992 she received her doctorate there and was an academic councilor from 1995 to 2005. In 1997 she was visiting professor at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis (USA). In 2001 she qualified as a professor in Munich, then from 2002 to 2004 she was a deputy chair for general sociology at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and in 2004 she was appointed professor at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Kiel . In the winter semester 2010/2011 she moved to the Friedrich-Alexander-University Erlangen-Nürnberg. There she held a professorship for empirical economic sociology, before moving to the Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University of Hanover as professor for empirical university and science research on September 1, 2015 and taking over the scientific management of the German Center for University and Science Research .

Monika Jungbauer-Gans is married and has one child.
