Monika Tworuschka

Monika Tworuschka (* 1951 in Herford as Monika Kunze) is a freelance writer and scholar of Islam, religion and politics. Her publications focus on the dialogue between religions . She is also the author of books for young people, radio plays and adventure stories. She lives in Bad Münstereifel and is married to the religious scholar Udo Tworuschka , with whom she has four children. In 2002 the couple received the Italian Peace Prize “Premio Satyagraha” for their book The World Religions - Children Declare. The price is based on the Satyagraha principle of Mahatma Gandhi .
