Monika Walser

Monika Walser (born October 29, 1965 in Zurich ) is a Swiss manager. She has been a partner and managing director of the Swiss furniture manufacturer de Sede since April 2, 2014 .

Monika Walser began her professional career with an apprenticeship as a high couture dressmaker. After completing her teaching diploma, she completed several master's courses. From 1994 to 1998 Walser owned and managed Cassiopeia Trend AG, which produced folklore children's clothing. After various management positions in the electricity and telecommunications sector, including at Sunrise and Swissgrid , she moved in June 2010 as CEO of the Zurich bag manufacturer Freitag . She gave up operational responsibility after four years of work.

When Monika Walser took over the management of de Sede in 2014 , the company had already changed hands several times. The company was in financial difficulties at the time. Under Monika Walser, de Sede relocated production from Germany back to Switzerland. Of the around 120 employees worldwide, 110 work in Switzerland again today.
