Monika Wołowiec (born February 14, 1976 ) is a Polish skeleton pilot .

Monika Wołowiec, who lives in Park City , has started on an international level since the 2004/05 season. She is trained by Jean Riendeau. Initially, she mainly took part in races in the Americas's Cup series. The first appearance in the highest class of the sport was at the Skeleton World Championship in Calgary in 2005 , where she finished 21st. The next major event was the 2006 Olympic Winter Games of Turin , where she finished in 15th and last place. Her first start in the Skeleton World Cup went far better . In February 2007 she reached fifth place at Königssee and thus her first top ten placement in a major race. Monika Wołowiec is the first Polish skeleton pilot who was able to advance to the top of the world.
