Monolithic Memories Inc. ( MMI ) was an American company that manufactured bipolar PROMs , programmable logic devices and standard components (including the TTL 7400 series ).

MMI was founded in 1969 by former Fairchild Semiconductor engineer Ze'ev Drori . The team of MMI engineers, led by Ze'ev Drori, John Birkner and HT Chua, invented a new category of programmable circuitry called Programmable Array Logic ( PAL ).

In 1987 MMI was taken over by Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and sold to Lattice in 1999 . (see history of AMD )
