Monopoly (wine)

A monopoly is an officially classified single vineyard that only belongs to a single owner. Examples of this can be found in Burgundy , where the La Tâche and Romanée-Conti sites are wholly owned by the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti winery , or in Germany , where the Brudersberg site comes from the Heyl zu Herrnsheim winery and the Walporzheimer Gärkammer only comes from the winery JJ Adeneuer is managed.
