Monster
The Monstra is an international film festival for animated films and takes place every March in the Portuguese capital Lisbon .
history
The festival first took place in 2000 and has since grown into one of the most important film festivals in Lisbon.
Competitions
There are currently four competitions in the festival:
- International competition for national and international films that were completed in the current or previous year. In even years, the competition is dedicated to short films, in odd, long films.
- students
- Super short films
- National competition
Prizes are currently awarded in twelve categories.
Venues
The festival films are currently shown in the Cinema São Jorge , in the Cinema City Alvalade , in the Fnac in the Armazéns do Chiado and in the Cascais Shopping mall , at the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian and in the Museu da Marioneta .
