The Montag Foundations are a non-profit foundation group based in Bonn . They were founded by Carl Richard Montag .

Goals and work areas
The three operational foundations - the Montag Foundation for Youth and Society , the Montag Foundation for Urban Spaces and the Montag Foundation for Art and Society - pursue the common goal in their respective areas of activity of creating an everyday world in which all people have the same opportunities for a self-determined life to have. Their guiding principle is: Acting and shaping with social responsibility.
The Carl Richard Montag Förderstiftung is the group's umbrella foundation and guarantees its non-material and financial independence.
The Montag Foundation's think tank supports the Carl Richard Montag Foundation in its work. She is a source of inspiration, think tank and is responsible for communication within the foundation group. The Montag foundations work economically, politically and ideologically independently. They usually develop and finance their projects themselves.
